We have a fence! It's gorgeous! Here's what it keeps in: dogs that like to run when you call their names, and children who also like to run when you call their name. Here's what it keeps out: the neighbor kids when they are bored/off track from school/hungry/want to see my dogs/see me in the yard, the neighbors' dandelion seeds, the neighbors' toys, and the view from people on the other block that I'm sure were always staring into my yard.

Build Fences, Not Bridges
We have a fence! It's gorgeous! Here's what it keeps in: dogs that like to run when you call their names, and children who also like to run when you call their name. Here's what it keeps out: the neighbor kids when they are bored/off track from school/hungry/want to see my dogs/see me in the yard, the neighbors' dandelion seeds, the neighbors' toys, and the view from people on the other block that I'm sure were always staring into my yard.

The fence looks great! Good job! You've convinced me even more that we need a fence. It's really possible to keep the neighbor kids out? Wow! What a novel idea.
